After photographing an amazing destination wedding in Cancun, Mexico, Â Ed and I decided to spend a few more days in Mexico to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Â While waiting in line at a sushi restaurant we met Jim & Laurie, a couple from New Jersey, and a friendship was born. Three days later as we were saying our goodbyes Laurie says, “If Jim and I ever get married we are going to have you photograph it!” Sure enough, a few years later we were planning a trip to Turks and Caicos Islands to photograph their wedding.
Jim and Laurie met each other on the Carnival Pride Cruise Ship. They had their first date together at Jack’s Shack, a beach bar in Grand Turk.  So they felt it fitting that they would take their family and wedding guests on  the same ship, The Carnival Pride, and have their ceremony on the beach in front of Jack’s Shack, the site of their first date in Turks and Caicos.
After a couple days at sea, we docked in Grand Turk. It was such a hot day, everyone had an amazing time and we had a blast photographing the wedding! Â After they said their I do’s everyone ran for the teal blue waters with a drink in hand! Â Several hours later we made our way back onto the cruise ship. Jim and Laurie finished off their special day with cake and music at the piano bar.
Every wedding we photograph is so unique and special. We are grateful to be part of every couple’s special day. Â This one, however, will always have a special place in our hearts!
